My favorite meeting

Now it is the friday 704 meeting of narcotics anonymous in beautiful 29 Palms. It has been my home group for over 3 years and I have seen it grow from1 to 3 or 4 to about a dozen regular attenders/members. It has been a great honor and privilage to watch it grow and develop itself into as great meeting and a great place for recovery to happen. I have seen new people come and stay and take service committments when they said when they got there there was no way they were doing more than required by the courts. I have seen people come in and choose to get into service in aour area activities and other areas of service to the fellowship that has saved my life. I have seen people come for a couple of meetings and never come back.....
Bottom line is the 704 meeting is my favorite because I have been able to keep coming back to it and it has been there for me showing me recovery is possible for myself as well as anyone else willing to do the work to stay.
My past favorite meetings were the sicker than most meeting in Fresno that had blacklighyts, as candles were not allowed in the building. And another meeting up there that used a wheel of topics that was spun before each person shared.... Members shared on the topics decided by the fate of the wheel... That was always fun and it kept people fluid and not coming to that meeting with the same story over and over....

No Honey, No Money, Just Recovery!

My Home Group: If your an addict like me you'll get it. No more walking the yard or chasing the skirts to overcompensate and/or distract from honest program.

Favorite Meeting

The Thursday Night Community Center Meeting in Yucca Valley & Friday We Do Recover at The Church of Christ (used to be PFF). those 2 meetings are for me full of recovery and has both a healthy abundance of newcomers to show me what I don't want & a healthy abundance of "old-timers" to show me what I do want & to show me the way.

Favorite N.A. Meeting

My favorite N.A. meeting would be at the 6th Step House in Leucadia. The meeting is named The Stay in the Meeting Meeting. It used to be one of my regular meetings until I moved out of that area. But even now I make it a point to attend that meeting when even remotely possible, sometimes going out of my way to do so. The room is cozy and the room is lined with overstuffed couches. But don't let the general age group or the overall comfort of the room fool you. When the readings are complete and the lights are dimmed for sharing you will find that these are people who have been sponsored well and ths is a SERIOUS meeting of recovery. I hope to see you there sometime.

Friday Night "It doesn't happen over night" Temecula

The Friday night meeting in Temecula is my home group and favorite meeting. I have been attending this meeting regularly for over fifteen years. Allthough it has gone through ups, downs, changes in location and format changes, it is where I feel most connected. The meeting has grown to an average attendance of 100 people. The clean time ranges from newcommers in treatment to 25+ years. I believe probaly half of the members have a year or more. The last Friday of the month we have a speaker who is usually from outside the area. And the Friday before the ASC meeting we help the area LDO fill the literature orders after our business meeting. At this meeting I get the opportunity to hear the message, share my experience strength & hope and be of service to the fellowship. Most weeks there are meetings after the meetings at local restraunts or members homes.

my home group

Sunday morning circle. yes I attend this meeting regularly

A regular Men's Meeting.

For almost 8 years, the Thursday night Living the Solution Men's Meeting in Murrieta/Temecula has been my regular home group. Before that, it was the Grow or Go Men's Meeting in Victorville.

While I enjoy lots of different meetings, a regular Men's Meeting has been a solid staple for my recovery. These meetings tend to stay focused on personal recovery and solutions, and provide a strong foundation for building close relationships with other men in recovery. I learned how to stay clean and seek recovery in NA. I learned how to be the man I am today in Men's Meetings.

P.S. -- The Living the Solution Men's Meeting will be celebrating it's 8th anniversary this March/April and will be hosting a speaker meeting and potluck to celebrate. And the women are invited too!

Would this group be appropriate ...

...for a 17 year old young man?

Would this group be appropriate ...

yes, a place where men learn to live, love, laugh and cry - CLEAN!
