Regional Delegate Report - August, 2007
Well, here we are again. It seems that I am blazing the trail without an alternate delegate again. I wish Gene well in his move back to Wisconsin. But lets get the word out that the position is open again. With the CAR and the Conference coming up we need to get someone ready to jump in and start learning.
As of this morning I had not received the minutes from the WSZF. I did however receive an e-mail stating that they should be out this week. Instead of my piecing together the information from my notes I think I will wait for the minutes and include them with my report next month. I can say that we are not alone and that whatever problems we encounter within our Region there are others out there that have probably encountered the same problems and they are willing to help us in what ever way that they can. I also have monies in the amount of $137.04 to return to our treasurer.
Gene and I attended the Mountain Area's ASC last month and I would like to thank them for our warm welcome. I am looking forward to attending the Greater Mohave Area's ASC this month.
I Received a package from NAWS that included the final draft revisions to the Basic Text, Five new SERVICE PAMPHLETS (Group Business Meetings, Disruptive & Violent Behavior, NA Groups & Medication, Group Trusted Servants Roles & Responsibilities, and AN Introduction To NA Meetings) and Draft wording for changes to A Guide To World Services on consensus-based decision making. I have included copies of the pamphlets for each area and a copy of the Consensus -based Decision making info. The final draft of the basic text can be viewed and purchased on line at na.org.
